This morning I was feeling really happy… so I took a photo of myself.
Because why not 🤍

I had a good workout, a gentle glow, and that quiet feeling that comes after a really nourishing weekend.
Nothing fancy.
Just being at home with my mister, a bit of DIY, some gardening, ordinary pasta, shared TV time, slow moments together.

And somehow it felt really special.
Loved. Safe. Grateful.

It’s not often we pause to acknowledge these simple, golden pockets of life… but today I wanted to.
Starting the week feeling settled, content, and held in all the right ways ✨

I had such a lovely day yesterday 🌿
You all know I love preparing food and making a pretty table, so this felt so joyful.

I put together a little old-fashioned afternoon tea at home to celebrate our son’s girlfriend Arlene, who’s living with us at the moment and just turned 21. It was especially lovely because her mum Hazel (who makes fabulous scones) is visiting from the UK, so we were able to gather the family and mark such a beautiful milestone together.

Arlene brings so many lovely gifts with her… and truly, she is a gift in all of our lives 🤍

And I’m fairly sure this was also inspired by my guilty pleasure… Bridgerton being out again. I haven’t even watched it yet, but whenever it’s Bridgerton season I seem to eat more scones than anyone in history and can’t help but conjure up a pretty table. So looking forward to a quiet, solo day so I can snuggle up and have some time watching it. A little gentle, domestic magic at work ✨
